Who We Are

Neuroscientist Jon dropped out of the Ivy League to launch his dream. Jill, who had spent the early 2000s playing in multiple punk bands, took a different path, setting aside her music ambitions to complete graduate studies in cell and molecular biology and begin a more conventional career in biotech, where she met Jon.

Working together, the two found themselves immersed in the world of scientific discovery and new technologies-- fields dedicated to improving lives and pushing boundaries. But music was a constant thread. They came to realize that there are many ways to heal and connect people: through medicine, and through art.

That belief sparked a simple question. If they could help launch new technologies into the world, why couldn't they do the same for the bands and music they believed in?

From this idea, Sonic Synapse Records™ was born, an independent label built to bring the bands and music they love to listeners everywhere.
